My first major project was to build a server for information about The Mudde Pathetique, my former home in the MUD world. Although MP is down now, those pages will remain up. I'm not going to take them down after so tediously making all of those cross-references in the help files into hypertext links :-)
I also wrote a set of pages for Lynn Cooley's lab, where I work. These pages include information about the lab's research interests, publications, and home pages for other people in the lab (at least those who have decided they want a home page--so far that's just me :-( ). Also in the work-related department, I wrote the home page for the Genetics Department at Yale Medical School, and the faculty catalog for the Program in Genetics and Development.
During the fall of 1994, I contributed material to the PCNet WWW Pages when they were in their infancy. Ron Pinz, the system administrator, has made many revisions since I have been involved, so my work is scattered through the pages in various places.
My largest "fun" project has been the Usenet Oracle Resource Index. This project started in the fall of 1994 as a goodie to throw into the PCNet pages, but it took on a life of its own with as Steven Kinzler, creator of the Oracle, and David Sewell, an Oracular Priest, became involved. It is now my most polished WWW project, and is self-maintaining. New stuff appears several times a week, without me touching it :-).
In June 1995 I started the Connecticut Cat Rescue Web, a website for people interested in finding homes for stray or unwanted cats. The main feature are lists (kind of like classified ads) of cats for adoption, lost and found cats, and shelters/rescue organizations. Another goal is to educate people about spaying or neutering their pets, so there is some material there encouraging people to do this.
